Reflection: Scaredy Cat
After watching the short documentary of Scaredy Cat by Andy Blubaugh, I was simply amazed by everything that happened and how he was eventually able to move past it and dig deeper into the situation. Personally, for me I would have never been able to call up my abuser and ask him why he did it and ask him personal questions about his past. As he was sharing that he had fist fights with his step dad, it started to click and you start to realize why people do what they do. Overall, it was very refreshing to see how the whole situation went down with the phone call and just how Andy was able to grow and move past what happened. When I was watching him breakdown or having those anxiety attacks, I could see a little of myself in him as well. I knew exactly what he was going through and how he was feeling, and that just made everything feel so genuine and real to me. I really liked how he filmed the whole thing and the progression he showed because it shows that you can move forward and be okay later on. I extremely enjoyed watching this short documentary and it was very insightful to see what some people go through and how everyone overcomes their obstacles in different ways.
