Procedural Rhetorics Project (How To Remove The Background From A Picture Using Photoshop)

Step One: Open up Photoshop on your computer and start a new project. Name the project whatever correlates to what you are doing. Click the file button on the top left of the screen, then press open to choose a picture from your computer that you want to edit. Make sure you choose a picture that’s easy enough to remove the background from.

Step Two: Use the quick selection tool to select the image you want to keep. When using this tool you want to make sure that you are getting all around the edges so it looks nice and clean when you are done. Make sure the hardness is set to 0 Percent. So that you can get. The most accurate outline for your picture.

Step Three: Once you have selected your picture, click select subject so that it focuses only on the selection. When you do so, the background would fade so you can see your selection more clearly. On the right side of the computer, make sure the transparency tool is set to 100 so you get a blank checkered background, then press okay on the screen.

Step Four: Add a mask layer to your picture. By doing so you need to click the second icon on the bottom left of the screen. Afterward, it will show you two pictures by each other. One will have the original and the other would have just the plain black and white background. The next thing to do would add another layer called (New Fill Layer) for the background. This is so we can change the background color.

Step Five: When you get the new fill layer, you’ll get the option to change the background to whatever you want. This process we chose the color yellow from the color wheel. You want to pick something that will stand out from the picture so it shows more visible. Afterwards you go to file on the left top of your computer and save your brand new picture as a jpeg format.
