Chapter 1,4 HW

Chapter 1 ( 1 & 2 ) 1.      Personally, I think it’s a very unethical thing to do, just because you will be hurting the job even more if they don’t know that you would be leaving in a few months. The only possible way to be ethical is to go for the job interview and probably suggest a seasonal position or a part-time position as they are still finding their permanent person. Other than that, if you know you won’t be staying full time, there’s no need wasting everyone’s time by getting a job you won’t keep. 2.      I think I would have to go with the bookstore head just because, they showed data in how well the study guides are doing in other bookstores. The other departments didn’t really provide anything else but condemn the idea, so I think it’s right to say that you should just go with the bookstore head and potentially make more of a profit. 1) I believe the intended audience for this document, would generally have to be teenagers and young adults in America. I only say that just because the document shows you the risk of nonphysical activity if you don't exercise when you are an adult. They also state why you should invest in exercising and that it's really never too late. So maybe, this infographic can work for anyone who wants to do better for their health and live a longer life.  2) I think this document closely aligns with, changing the attitude of one's opinion on physical activity and making the reader change their ways so they can better themselves. I can tell just because they give you facts on what happens when you do exercise and when you don't. They also provide some of the risk and problems you may have if you don't maintain a healthy diet. So they want you to change and exercise more. 3)  The main problem this document is facing is the ris...

1. The homepage for NIU provides excellence by sharing different events that are extremely beneficial for all the students. They also make the site very user-friendly, so it's really easy to navigate around and find what you are initially looking for. The site uses all of the school colors, to show that it is an official school website for the university. Just overall, it has a good appearance and kes the school seem professional. 2.  So the consumer product I used to discuss is my tv manual. So first of all the manual had very little words and was covered with mostly pictures. So the company wants everyone to be able to set up their product without getting confused by any words. With using very little words and more pictures, they are showing that it's extremely easy and a kid can set it up as well. This manual also comes in both English and Spanish, so this company wants to broaden their consumers so, much more people can use their products. Over...

Reflection: Scaredy Cat

After watching the short documentary of Scaredy Cat by Andy Blubaugh, I was simply amazed by everything that happened and how he was eventually able to move past it and dig deeper into the situation. Personally, for me I would have never been able to call up my abuser and ask him why he did it and ask him personal questions about his past. As he was sharing that he had fist fights with his step dad, it started to click and you start to realize why people do what they do. Overall, it was very refreshing to see how the whole situation went down with the phone call and just how Andy was able to grow and move past what happened. When I was watching him breakdown or having those anxiety attacks, I could see a little of myself in him as well. I knew exactly what he was going through and how he was feeling, and that just made everything feel so genuine and real to me. I really liked how he filmed the whole thing and the progression he showed because it shows that you can move forward and be...
