Chapter 1,4 HW

Chapter 1 ( 1 & 2 )

1.     Personally, I think it’s a very unethical thing to do, just because you will be hurting the job even more if they don’t know that you would be leaving in a few months. The only possible way to be ethical is to go for the job interview and probably suggest a seasonal position or a part-time position as they are still finding their permanent person. Other than that, if you know you won’t be staying full time, there’s no need wasting everyone’s time by getting a job you won’t keep.
2.     I think I would have to go with the bookstore head just because, they showed data in how well the study guides are doing in other bookstores. The other departments didn’t really provide anything else but condemn the idea, so I think it’s right to say that you should just go with the bookstore head and potentially make more of a profit.

Chapter 4 (Analysis)

1.     The tone of the comments was not the best. They were kind of rude, and making the writer feel like he didn’t really know what he was talking about. It was just generally very negative throughout.
2.     The collaborator doesn’t really do a good job on focusing on the larger issues, they kind of just narrowed down on like the small ones and didn’t really suggest anything for the bigger issues.
3.     The writer does a fairly good job at focusing on the writing and not the actual writer but the way they said most of the comments were very mean.

4.     The collaborator did focus on the writer because one of the last comments he said “we” so they ae trying to help the writer out so the audience can understand what the message is all about.
